Using Inventory
In this lab we will learn how to check the configuration.
Confirm Tachyon is Configured for Inventory
This exercise will show you how to check that Tachyon is configured to use Inventory. The connector is pre configured to use Tachyon Powered Inventory. The necessary Instruction Set 1E Inventory used by Tachyon Powered Inventory has also been pre configured. These steps are covered in the Install and Configure course, if you need to know how to do this you should sign up for that course.
Confirm Permissions to use Inventory
A number of roles have been assigned to different users, in this section we will confirm all were correctly applied. The assignment is part of the Install and Configure course, if you need to know how to do this you should sign up for that course.
Inventory Administrators
Inventory Viewers
- Navigate to Settings – Permissions – Roles.
- Click on Inventory Administrators then the Members tab
- Confirm Manager1 is listed (along with Tachyon Connector)
- Click on Roles and Inventory Viewers

Confirm User is listed in the Members tab
Confirm the Inventory Install and Population
- Open C:\ProgramData\1E\SLA Platform\AI
- Open C:\ProgramData\1E\SLA Platform\
- Log on to 1ETRNW72 as Manager1
- Open the Tachyon Portal in Chrome (if not already open)
- Click Switch App and choose Inventory
- The page should open on Software Inventory → Dashboard if it has not navigate there
- Confirm that data is displayed, we will look at the data and options shortly.
Lab Summary
In this lab we looked at the Inventory Application. We confirmed the correct roles were assigned to viewers and Administrators,
