There are two ways to restore an AppClarity database; one uses the SQL command-line the other uses the SQL Server Management Studio GUI.

Restoring from the SQL command-line

To restore an AppClarity backup database from the SQL command-line, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Stop the AppClarity service.
  2. Restore the AppClarity database backup with

    RESTORE DATABASE ... ENABLE_BROKER

    where ... represents any other parameters you need to set for the restore

  3. Re-start the AppClarity service.

Restoring from the SQL Server Management Studio

If you want to restore the AppClarity backup database from SQL Server Management Studio you will need to follow these steps

  1. Stop the AppClarity service.
  2. Restore the AppClarity database from the GUI.
  3. Run:

    ALTER DATABASE [AppClarity]
    SET SINGLE_USER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE
    ALTER DATABASE [AppClarity]
    SET ENABLE_BROKER
    ALTER DATABASE [AppClarity]
    SET MULTI_USER WITH NO_WAIT
  4. Re-start the AppClarity service.
