Tachyon Portal

Here you enter the base URL for the Tachyon Portal.

You can connect either using HTTP or HTTPS. In either case the URL will be based on the settings made on the Website Configuration screen of the Tachyon Setup program. Please refer to Tachyon 5.0 - Tachyon Setup: Website configuration for more details.

For example, if your Tachyon server FQDN is ACME-TCN01.ACME.LOCAL and your Tachyon DNS alias is TACHYON.ACME.LOCAL, and these have been configured as the host headers on the Website Configuration screen of the Tachyon Setup program, then either of the following URLs can be used:

If you have specified a custom port on the Website Configuration screen of the Tachyon Setup program then this should also be added to the URLs. For example:

Installation and upgrade of Application Migration requires that the Tachyon service account has an SQL Login on the instance that hosts the SLA Platform databases with the dbcreator server role, as described in Preparation: SQL Server. You will need to confirm this is the case and check the checkbox Yes, above mentioned rights are provided before you can continue.

  • Installer log by checking the Show the Windows Installer log checkbox.
  • Data migration log by checking the Show the Migrate data file checkbox.

Starting from Application Migration 3.0 onwards, association between a software application (Vendor, Title, Version and Edition) and Configuration Manager (CM) application is stored in the Inventory app. In previous releases this association was stored in Application Migration. This change means that other Tachyon platform apps (e.g. AppClarity) can use this information.

When upgrading Application Migration from a previous version, the Application Migration installer will migrate the associations defined in Application Migration to Inventory. The results of this migration are written to a migration data file in JSON format with the following detailed information:

Key

Description

InsertedAssociationsAssociations that have been successfully moved to Inventory.
InsertedSccmUnitsSystem Center Configuration Manager units (Applications and Packages) that have been successfully been added to the Inventory application.
InsertedPackageProgramsPackage programs that have been successfully added to the Inventory application.
DeletedAssociationsAssociations that have been successfully added to the Inventory application and have been deleted from Application Migration.
DeletedSccmUnitsSCCM Applications or Packages that have been successfully added to the Inventory application and have been deleted from Application Migration.
FailedAssociations

Associations which could not be added to the Inventory application due to insufficient information available in the system. Application Migration requires some information before doing data movement.

The migrate data feature will not be able to move associations to the Inventory app if they are not being used in a migration rule or a Role Based Application (RBA) set in Application Migration app. In those scenarios, an attempt is made to move the association based on the details present in 1E Catalog. If the system still can't move an association then it is marked as failed.

Click Finish to close the wizard.
