NightWatchman Enterprise 7.3 Web Release - last updated 09 - August - 2022

These release notes contain feature lists and late-breaking information about NightWatchman Enterprise. For the most up-to-date information, see the online release notes and known issues.

New features

This release introduces the following enhancements:

  • WakeUp support for ConfigMgr phased deployments and maintenance windows - for more details please refer to Using WakeUp with ConfigMgr

  • WakeUp console improvements - you can now export details and search for subnets on the Agents tab. Sort by subnet is also correct (done numerically). For more information please refer to Using the WakeUp console.

  • Report changes - the Wakeups for a week, Wakeups for any ConfigMgr deployments, and Manual Wakeups for collections reports now allow reporting by desktop and/or laptop computers. For more information please refer to Reporting.

  • Additional documentation has been provided to describe the meaning of the WakeUp status fields - please refer to Understanding WakeUp Status for details.

This release introduces the following enhancements:

  • WakeUp support for ConfigMgr phased deployments and maintenance windows - for more details please refer to Using WakeUp with ConfigMgr.

This release introduces the following enhancements:

  1. The 1EAgent is now the 1ENightWatchmanAgent and will install the NightWatchman agent only.

  2. The WakeUp agent is removed from the 1EAgent and integrated as a module in Tachyon 3.3.

  3. The Health agent functionality is completely removed from WakeUp agent module.

  4. The local WakeUp agent has also been removed from WakeUpServer installer. Install the Tachyon Agent on the WakeUp server to have use feature..

  5. The WakeUp ConfigMgr console collection and computer menu extensions have two new options when you run the WakeUp Server installer on a computer that has a ConfigMgr console:

    • Send WakeUp with Software Update Deployment Evaluation

    • Send WakeUp with Application Deployment Evaluation

  6. The NightWatchman agent now reports fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) to the NightWatchman server.

  7. The log files for WakeUp Server and the 1E Agent can now rollover multiple times. This means that more log information for those products can be maintained allowing persistent issue tracking.

  8. Integration with ActiveEfficiency cloud server has been removed.

    1. The power consumption data synchronization and the cloud-based savings report features are not available. Contact 1E Support if you require power consumption values.

    2. In the NightWatchman Management Console installer, the WakeUp integration with ActiveEfficiency feature has been renamed to Wake up peers that have requested Nomad content if no other peers are available.

  9. Support of TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2.

  10. Support for Configuration Manager 1806.
